Bike Saturdays Ride

The SATURDAY RIDES are not races or any other form of competition. The purpose is to familiarize cyclists with the local paved and off-road trail systems, trail etiquette and safety and to get people out of their cars and on bikes. The target audiences are families and individuals who own bikes but rarely ride them and are part of the majority who feel it's unsafe to ride city streets. However, everyone, all abilities, and ages can participate. The events also provide a platform for county and city planning officials, law enforcement, and other agencies to get the word out about the importance of bicycle infrastructure and the many other benefits of commuting by bicycle.
