Sustainability Movement and Climate Change

 

Tourism is responsible for roughly 8% of the world’s carbon emissions, making it a significant contributor to climate change. Sustainability and climate change is a major concern for the wellness traveler. They want to know what a lodging sustainability statement is and their ecological footprint. Do they support ethical economic development in their communities, which means everything from minimizing plastic consumption and making greener transportation choices to eating at locally-owned restaurants and booking eco-conscious accommodations.
